LTT 4: Beneath the Lotus’ Bloom

Bandung, 8 January 2026 - LTT 4 is an annual concert organized by the Stringentissimo Student Interest and Talent Unit. The concert serves as a collaborative platform involving various academic programs as well as external partners. In LTT 4: Beneath the Lotus’ Bloom, Stringentissimo collaborated with the 2025 cohort of the English Language and Literature program and the 2024 cohort of the Korean Language Education program. The performance featured poetry recitations themed around the human life journey Birth, Child, Teen, Young Adult, and Old & Death and addressed the issue of sexual harassment, accompanied by a string ensemble performing original works composed by students of the Music program.
LTT 4: Beneath the Lotus’ Bloom was realized through the integration of three academic courses Harmony II, String Ensemble Studio, and Art Appreciation taught by Novi Purnama Koswara, S.Pd., M.Sn. The collaboration among composers, poetry readers, background dancers, and instrumentalists functioned not only as an artistic endeavor but also as an educational process. Through this experience, participating students were implicitly trained in organizational collaboration with external parties and in managing a large-scale artistic event as a cohesive team.

The concert repertoire consisted entirely of compositions by students of the Music program. For the English Language and Literature program segment, the works performed included Voyage of Courage and Hope by Yonatan Anggarawijaya, themed Birth; Unheld Wildflowers by G. R. Novara and M. Algifari E., themed Child; Mada Ashita Ga Arimasu by Adhitya Putra Pratama, themed Teen; INTERIM by Fazli Fathehatul Tamziz, themed Young Adult; and Elegie No. 2 by Insan Nurokhim, themed Old & Death. The segment presented by the Korean Language Education program, which addressed the issue of sexual harassment, also featured student compositions, including Miracle by Joe Satrian, Carpe-diem by Insan Nurokhim, and Let Them Express by Khairul Umam.
An active Music program student from the 2024 cohort, Arcel Claudio, commented, “Personally, I found the event engaging. I truly enjoyed the narrative conveyed as well as the music it was captivating and heartfelt, reflecting a high level of sincerity and dedication.”

Galuh Rizkanovara, a cellist in the concert and the composer of Unheld Wildflowers, who is also an active Music program student from the 2024 cohort, shared his reflections: “This was my first concert with Stringentissimo, and it was certainly a meaningful experience. In previous LTT events, I was only an audience member, but this time I had the opportunity to perform alongside seniors and peers. I was also given the chance to serve as a composer for Unheld Wildflowers, which carries the Child theme, in collaboration with Kang Algi, my senior. I am grateful for the many lessons learned and extend my sincere appreciation to Mr. Novi for his guidance. I hope to participate again in future concerts, both as a performer and as a composer or arranger.”
Through the collaborative efforts embodied in LTT 4: Beneath the Lotus’ Bloom, Stringentissimo successfully presented a compelling musical experience through the expressive interplay of violin, viola, cello, and double bass. The concert as a whole exemplified a sustained commitment to artistic presentation and aesthetic appreciation, integrating music, poetry, and dance into a cohesive performative framework.
